Blessings
In our darkest hours it can be hard
to think of all the blessings in our lives
But concentrate we must
For when we have reached the depths of our despair
It is those very blessings that shed the light of hope,
that make us exclaim,
“We can go on!”
And go on we must
For there are people in our lives that look to us
for strength, for wisdom, for courage
When you feel your strength waning, your courage flagging
And your wisdom fails to enlighten you
Turn to me
And know that all that I have, I share with you
My strength of spirit will buoy you
My courage to endure will ground you
My wisdom to see beyond the now will free you
From the confines of your hopelessness
You are not alone

Love this!! Thank you for sharing!! There are many days that the only way I can force myself to get out of bed and try to walk…is my family. My kids need to see me doing the normal things that make their day go smoothly. They need to see me be strong. But they are so very protective and can tell when it’s a bad day and will try to do things for me. I HATE it. I want them to be children and not grow up before they have to.
I can definitely understand and empathize, Chelle. I know this is going to be true for you, so I’m going to say to tell your boys that it gives you such joy to watch them play, and that is the biggest help and comfort of all. In their minds, that will give them the permission they need to be the kids you want them to stay. ❤
