Father Time

A father has all the time in the world

To chase away monsters

creeping under the bed

To slay dragons

setting fires in the closet

A father has all the time in the world

To toss the ball around

in the back yard, with his best boy

To have his hair done

while drinking tea at a party, with his best girl

A father has all the time in the world

And yet, it may seem like in no time at all

His knightly duties are no longer required

His coaching and makeovers, simply scrapbook memories

A father has all the time in the world

To watch his children grow into friends

To share a lifetime of wisdom

And finally be heard
